Bio
Kyle enters his first academic year as an academic advisor at HCC, serving student-athletes on campus as well as the general student population. He will help provide comprehensive advising and support in regards to academic planning, course selection, major selection, degree and transfer requirements, academic progress, and transition into college. Kyle is also a great reference for support, helping students get connected to appropriate campus support services. He will serve as the assigned academic advisor for HCC student-athletes, helping uphold NJCAA rules and regulations.
Prior to HCC, Kyle served as an academic advisor at Springfield College where he worked with first and second-year students in the exploratory studies and integrative studies programs, as well as the general student population. In this role, he worked together with students to navigate the college environment, set academic goals, explore majors, develop degree plans, and achieve academic success. He supported student-athletes on academic probation as an academic coach where they focused on time management strategies, active learning skills, and managing work/life/school balance.
In his time outside of professional advising, Kyle enjoys athletics and the outdoors. He has 6 years of basketball coaching experience at both high school and collegiate levels, including an appearance in the NCAA tournament with the WPI Engineers. He currently coaches girls basketball at Minnechaug Regional High School.
Kyle graduated from Hofstra University (Hempstead, NY) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2015. He received a Masters of Education in Psychology with a concentration in Athletic Counseling from Springfield College (Springfield, MA) in 2018.
