Cougars Play Pair of Close Contests

Baseball Battles at Home with Big Eighth Innings

(Holyoke, MA) - Men's baseball hosted a pair of back-to-back regional home games on Monday and Tuesday afternoon. In two very close contests, Holyoke fell 5-3 to CC of Rhode Island on Monday before an 11-10 extra-innings loss to Quinsigamond CC on Tuesday. 

The Cougars played well in both games and entered the final inning of play in each contest with the score tied. On Monday, Holyoke trailed 3-1 entering the bottom of the eighth inning where they would score two to tie the game at three before losing in the ninth inning. On Tuesday, the Cougars trailed 10-5 before a five-run eighth inning deadlocked the score at ten before Holyoke fell in the tenth inning.  

Men's baseball has a 4-12 overall record and a 2-5 regional record. They host Division II UCONN Avery Point tomorrow at 3:30 before traveling for their next five games. Let's go Cougars!
