Baseball Claims Second of Home Doubleheader

Cougars Win Two of Three Game Series

(Holyoke, MA) - Baseball hosted Roxbury CC for a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, just two days after defeating them 15-7. The Cougars fell 13-5 in game one of the doubleheader before batting their way to a 12-7 win in game two to best their opponent in the three-game series. 

Holyoke rallied behind a seven-run fifth inning to propel them to victory in game two on Saturday. Matt Drobiak (Holyoke, MA / South Hadley HS) led the way for the Cougars, earning the victory from the mound. In game one, Drobiak hit a home run over the left field fence. It was his and the team's first home run of the season.

Men's baseball has a 2-1 regional record and 4-8 overall record. They host Landmark College at 3:30pm on Monday, March 31st before a regional home game versus Northern Essex CC on Thursday, April 3rd at 3:30pm. Let's go Cougars!
