Women’s Basketball Battling in New Year

Lady Cougars Set for Home Finale

Women's basketball has looked sharp in the early part of 2025, playing just three games thus far in the new year. The Lady Cougars have worked extremely hard, battling against some tough opponents in their three road matchups. Holyoke will host their final home game of the season on Saturday, February 15th at 1pm.

Emily McGrail (Ware, MA / Ware HS) has been stellar for the Lady Cougars all season, leading the team in points, rebounds and blocks. She currently leads all of NJCAA Division III in blocks per game, averaging 5.5 and is fifth in rebounds per game, averaging 13.7. Emma Allyn (Holyoke, MA / Hampshire Regional HS) has played brilliantly, leading Holyoke in assists and steals. She is second on the team in points, rebounds and three-pointers.

Women's basketball has a 3-7 overall and regional record. They are 0-3 in the new year. Holyoke has four games remaining, including this Saturday's home finale. HCC will host a men's and women's doubleheader against Roxbury CC on Saturday, February 15th in what will be each of the HCC basketball teams' home finale. The women will play first at 1pm, followed by the men at 3pm. Both HCC teams won their first meetings of the season against Roxbury. Let's go Cougars!
