
Women’s Basketball Heads into Break with Win
Lady Cougars Stay Perfect on Road
(Taunton, MA) - Women's basketball remains perfect on the road, winning their third away game of the season on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Cougars defeated regional opponent Bristol CC 46-33 in Holyoke's final game before their winter break.
Emma Allyn (Holyoke, MA / Hampshire Regional HS) led the charge for the Cougars, scoring 18 points to go along with eight rebounds and six steals. It was the second straight game that Allyn led the team in points, having scored 15 in the previous contest. Emily McGrail (Ware, MA / Ware HS) had 10 blocks in the win, reaching that total for the second time this year. McGrail leads NJCAA Division III in total blocks with 43 and blocks per game, averaging 6.1.
Women's basketball has a 3-4 overall and regional record. They are a perfect 3-0 in away games. Holyoke will take five weeks off from games for the winter break and return to action with a road game on January 16th. Let's go Cougars!
