Soares Named NJCAA Player of the Week

Women's Soccer Player Earns National Honor

Lady Cougars soccer player Arianna Soares (Ludlow, MA / Ludlow HS) has been named NJCAA player of the week for October 23-29. The freshman standout racked up five goals during Holyoke's two games played in that timeframe, including a four-goal performance in a 5-1 win over rival Springfield Technical CC. Soares currently leads the Cougars with 39 points and is the co-leader in goals with 16. She is second on the team in assists with seven. Soares is tied for 6th in goals in all of NJCAA Division III and is tied for 7th in points. She leads the New England region in points and is the co-leader in goals.
