
Women's Volleyball Wins First of Pair on Road
Lady Cougars Finish Up Regular Season
(Lincoln, RI) - Women's volleyball closed out their regular season, traveling to play a Region XXI (New England) tri-match at CC of Rhode Island on Saturday. The Lady Cougars defeated Quinsigamond CC 3-0 in their first matchup before falling to host CCRI in their second contest.
Khimorah Arias (Springfield, MA / Commerce HS) had a strong first game, serving for ten aces while leading the Cougars in points. In game two, Arias led Holyoke in kills and was second in digs. Kelsey Rau (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee Comprehensive HS) and Isabelle Garutti (Springfield, MA / Sabis International Charter) led the way in digs in the win, each tallying eight. Gissel Santos (Santo Domingo, DR / Holyoke HS) led the way in kills during the first game and led in digs during the second game.
Women's volleyball ends the regular season with a 13-7 overall record and an 11-4 regional record. They finish the season in third place in the New England standings and will be the #3 seed entering the regional tournament. Holyoke will host the New England championship tournament on Saturday, November 2nd with game times and matchup pairings to be announced. Let's go Cougars!
