Women’s Soccer Claims Fifth Consecutive Win

Lady Cougars Score Six on the Road

(Longmeadow, MA) - Women's soccer played their last non-regional game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon, traveling to play Bay Path University on the host's "senior day." In the second matchup between the teams in the past four days, the Lady Cougars came out strong, scoring five first-half goals. Holyoke won 6-2 to win their fifth straight game. The Cougars felt a sense a of happiness for their opposition whose two goal scorers were both seniors playing in their final game for the Bay Path. 

Arianna Soares (Ludlow, MA / Ludlow HS) led the Cougars' attack, scoring a pair of goals while assisting on two others. Madisyn Davis (Ware, MA / Ware HS) scored twice and now has five multi-goal games this season. Paige Hebert (Monson, MA / Minnechug HS) and Emma Allyn (Holyoke, MA / Hampshire Regional HS) each scored a goal. Emily McGrail (Ware, MA / Ware HS) tallied two assists and Sienna Hebert (Monson, MA / Minnechug HS) and Nandana Binu (Greenfield, MA / Hiset HS) each had one. 

Women's soccer improves to 9-4 overall. They have a 4-2 regional record. Their next contest will be their last home game of the regular season, welcoming rivals Springfield Technical CC on Wednesday, October 23rd at 4pm. Let's go Cougars!
