Women’s Soccer Scores Four in Fourth Straight Win

Pink Out Results in Shutout Victory for Lady Cougars

(Holyoke, MA) - Women's soccer hosted their breast cancer awareness "pink out" game on Wednesday afternoon, hosting Bay Bath University. With both teams wearing October breast cancer awareness pink in some part of their respective uniforms, the Lady Cougars claimed a 4-0 win. The victory is the fourth in a row for Holyoke and the shutout is their second straight and third of the season. 

Madisyn Davis (Ware, MA / Ware HS) and Arianna Soares (Ludlow, MA / Ludlow HS) spearheaded the attack for the Cougars, each scoring a pair of goals. Davis notched the first and fourth, while Soares tallied the middle two. Davis currently leads Holyoke in goals and points and Soares leads in assists and is second in goals and points. Four different players registered an assist with sophomore Chloe Benard (Ludlow, MA / Ludlow HS) earning the first of her college career. Goalkeeper Avery Ellis (Agawam, MA / Agawam HS) made three saves to earn her second shutout of the season and second in a row. 

Women's soccer has an 8-4 overall record and a 4-2 regional record. They travel for their next game, a rematch against Bay Path on Saturday, before their regular season home finale against rival Springfield Technical CC on Wednesday, October 23rd at 4pm. Let's go Cougars!
