Cougars Rally to Earn Regional Win

(Holyoke, MA) - Men's baseball caputred their first win of the season on Tuesday afternoon, defeating regional opponent Quinsigamond CC 9-4. The Cougars rallied behind consecutive four-run innings in the fifth and sixth to earn the victory.

Sophomore Travis Kagan (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee Comprehensive HS) led the way at the plate, tallying three hits, three runs and an RBI. Freshman TJ Thibeault (Greenfield, MA / Greenfield HS) was stellar on the mound, throwing seven strikeouts in the complete game victory. Freshmen Adam Pilachowski (South Hadley, MA / South Hadley HS) and Mason Barcomb (West Springfield, MA / Agawam HS) each drove in a pair of RBIs.

Men's baseball improves their regional record to 1-4 and their overall record to 1-16. They travel for their next game before hosting CC of Rhode Island for a double header on Saturday, April 13th beginning at noon. Let's go Cougars!
