Lady Cougars Ready for Regional Tournament

Women's Soccer in Semifinal Saturday

Women's soccer has qualified for the New England championship tournament and will play in their semifinal at 2pm on Saturday. The Cougars are the #3 seed and will play the #2 seed Quinsigamond CC. The tournament will be hosted by the top seed CC of Rhode Island with all games played at their Flanagan campus in Lincoln, RI. CCRI will play #4 seed Bunker Hill CC in the other semifinal. The winner of each semi will play for the New England championship on Sunday at noon.

Holyoke's appearance in the New England championship tournament will be their 19th in a row. During that span, the Cougars have not lost a semifinal and have played in every New England championship game. This year's team will have to put forth a strong performance to keep that streak alive. The Lady Cougars lost both games they played against Quinsigamond this season, including a 2-1 loss in the regular season finale. Holyoke will rely on strong team defense and great goalkeeping to give themselves a chance to get the job done. Let's go Cougars!
