Cougars Earn Home Shutout Victory

Baseball Blanks Regional Foe

(Holyoke, MA) - Cougars baseball put forth their strongest performance of the season on Thursday afternoon, shutting out regional opponent Roxbury CC 13-0. The home win was Holyoke's first of the shutout variety this year.

Collin Kennedy (Granby, MA / Granby HS) was stellar for the Cougars, earning the win as the starting pitcher while leading the way offensively from the plate. Kennedy threw for the shutout while batting 3 for 4 with a double and two runs scored. James McGann tallied two hits and three runs in the contest and was walked twice. Seven different players recorded at least one hit for Holyoke.

The Cougars are 3-12 in the region and 3-19 overall. They will play three more away games before closing the season with a home doubleheader against Quinsigamond CC on Saturday, May 6th beginning at noon. Let's go Cougars!
