Cougars Grind Through First Half of April

Cougars Baseball ended the month of March with consecutive regional home wins before heading into April. Holyoke has continued to slug away during the first half of this month, competing fiercely in every game.

Sophomore returner Nicholas Kreuzer (Suffield, CT / Suffield HS) has been one of the Cougars' strongest performers, leading the team offensively in RBIs and defensively from his primary position at catcher. Kreuzer is second on the team in hits and third in batting average. Freshman outfielder Travis Kagan (Chicopee, Ma / Chicopee Comprehensive HS) has been stellar, leading Holyoke in batting average, hits, doubles and runs scored. Sophomore returners James McGann (Suffield, CT / Suffield HS) and Anthony Rosado-Burgos (Holyoke, MA / Holyoke HS) have been outstanding, each a versatile player who can play in a field position or pitch. The pair are tied for the team lead in wins from the mound.

The Cougars are 2-15 overall and 2-12 regionally. They play several home games and doubleheaders during the second half of April and into May. Let's go Cougars!
