Cougars Baseball Ready for Opening Pitch
Holyoke Set to Play Ball
Cougars baseball is ready to begin the 2023 season, opening with an away doubleheader on Saturday, March 4th. Holyoke will travel to Troy, NY to play a pair of games against non-regional opponent Hudson Valley CC (Region III). The opening pitch for game one is set for 12:00 noon.
The Cougars have five players returning from the 2022 team. Antonio Carrano (East Longmeadow, MA / East Longmeadow HS), Nick Kreuzer (Suffield, CT / Suffield HS), James McGann (Suffield, CT / Suffield HS), Anthony Rosado-Burgos (Holyoke, MA / Holyoke HS) and Calum Sault (Kenne, NH / Keene HS) each will be back in an HCC uniform this year. The Cougars are under the guidance of head coach Ryan Magni, who takes the helm after being an assistant coach with the team for the past two seasons. Magni played for Holyoke in 2011 and 2013 and brings a wealth of baseball knowledge to the program.
During spring break, the Cougars will take a southern road trip where they will play five games. The trip includes three contests at the RussMatt Invitational Tournament in Davenport, Florida. Let's go Cougars!
