
Cougars Claim Regional Road Win
Baseball Strong in Close Contest
(Worcester, MA) - Men's baseball edged out regional opponent Quinsigamond CC 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon. The road win keeps playoff hopes alive for the Cougars.
TJ Thibeault (Greenfield, MA / Greenfield HS) put forth his best performance of the season, pitching a complete game to earn the victory. Thibeault threw seven strikeouts and registered no earned runs in the contest. Herick Cortes (Holyoke, MA / Holyoke HS) hit his second home run of the season in the win and Mason Barcomb (Agawam, MA / West Springfield HS) had a three-hit performance.
Men's baseball has a 3-10 regional record and a 6-18 overall record. If the Cougars can win all three of their remaining regional games there is a chance they could sneak into the postseason. Holyoke will host Bunker Hill CC on Thursday, May 1st at 3:30pm in their home finale before traveling for their last regular season games in a doubleheader on Saturday. Let's go Cougars!
