Cougars Battle Down the Stretch

Men's baseball has battled tenaciously through the month of April. The Cougars currently sit as a long shot to qualify for the playoffs as they enter the last week of the regular season. Holyoke hopes to play their best baseball as they make their way through the final stretch.

The Cougars have received stellar performances throughout the season from Travis Kagan (Chicopee, MA / Chicopee Comprehensive HS), Sean Rosemond (Springfield, MA / Longmeadow HS), and Daniel Gauvin (Granby, MA / Granby HS). Kagan currently leads the team in batting average, hits and runs, and is a co-leader in home runs. Rosemond has the team lead in RBI's and is a co-leader in home runs. He is third on the team in batting average and runs. Gauvin is second on the Cougars in batting average and hits and is third in runs.

Men's baseball has a 1-11 regional record and a 1-23 overall record. They will likely need to win their final six games, all regional matchups, to have a shot of playing in the postseason. Holyoke will travel for two away games before hosting double headers on Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th, beginning at 1pm. Let's go Cougars!
